1. Wednesday, September 17 – Kingdom Kids Begins
We look forward to another exciting year of Kingdom Kids, learning more about Jesus for 3 years old – Third Grade. If you know of any visitors or if you have grandchildren that would like to come. Please talk to Sisters Sue Neihouser or Cindi Witzig (Phil). Kingdom Kids meets on two Wednesday nights a month and begins at 6:50pm for early arrival activities, singing starts at 7:00pm and we conclude at 8:10pm.
2. Friday, September 19 – All Church Wiener Roast 6:30pm at the Fellowship Hall
Everyone is invited! Meat, drink, and table service will be provided. Please bring a side dish and/or dessert to share. There will be a hayrack ride following dinner, bring a flashlight for singing around the fire. For questions, see Sisters Lindsay Funk, Larissa Steffen, or Ashley Aberle.
3. Saturday, September 20 – Grafted Gathering
The third annual Grafted Gathering, an adoption and foster families support day, will be held at the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church. Come be encouraged, learn, and share with others walking the same journey. More information and registration at https://accounseling.org/grafted-gathering-2025/
4. 2026 Directory Photo Sessions – Starting Sunday, September 28th
The following days will be the photo sessions for our 2026 church directory: Sunday, September 28, Wednesday, October 1 and Sunday, October 5. We will be using one Sunday School Classroom where the 3yr olds through 3rd graders meet to sing and have Sunday School. For those of you who may not know where this area is, if you walk towards the back of the church through the doors marked Sunday School, the area is straight ahead. Sisters Tami Leman and/or Ashley Aberle will be there with instructions.
This is also a good time to update your directory information, so if you are new to Morton church, a high school graduate, or need to make changes, please let Sisters Tami or Ashley know. If you are currently listed with an email address in the directory, you will also receive a request for changes in early October. You do not have to sign up, just show up, as we expect this to go pretty quicky. Our photographers are only taking a couple of snap shots per family for the directory. We are getting excited and hoping everyone will participate, so please look at the dates and times now that we have scheduled to make sure you are here to have your pictures taken on one of those dates!

6. Sunday, October 5 - Pizza Meal 5:30pm and Family Hymn Sing 6:30pm at the Fellowship Hall
Join us for an evening of pizza and singing at the Fellowship Hall. Please note the new location. Same time, same food, at the Fellowship Hall! The 4th-8th grades will be the special group for the evening. Please sign up at the kitchen sign-up table if you plan to attend or if you can bring bars or cookies.
7. Monday, October 6 - Red Cross Blood Drive - 12-5 pm at FH
You can sign up for your appointment at the information center or call 1-800-REDCROSS or Sisters Kathy Ritthaler or Sheri Daniel. Please consider donating blood and giving the precious gift of life! If you would like to volunteer to work or donate food, there are forms at the kitchen sign-up table.
8. Saturday, November 1 – Apologetics Conference in Congerville
This year's theme is "Practical Apologetics: Engaging Others with Truth & Grace". This year we are providing some practical teaching that can help any Christian take steps to engage people with truth & grace.
